LAYOUT

This bungalow was built in 1967 and extended and renovated in 2004. The bedrooms have recently been plastered, while the master bedroom with shower facility has recently been completely modernized.

LIVING WING

ENTRANCE
The very light glass foyer was extended during the renovation. The front door is facing to the side and the sandblasted glass door to the living room has been added, so that there is no direct view from the front. The kitchen is straight ahead, to the right you go to the wing where the bedrooms and bathrooms are located, to the left is the bright living room with two sliding doors, with the spacious studio, hobby or study to the side

KITCHEN WITH CELLAR
The semi-open kitchen in neutral colors also benefits from plenty of daylight and views of the backyard. The back door leads to the paved garden path under a large overhang.

There are several appliances built in: induction hob, oven, microwave, refrigerator, freezer. The underfloor heating is here for a constant comfortable climate. The spacious worktop includes one and a half sink and the hob. There is a separate closet with connections for washing machine and dryer.

A door in the kitchen gives access to the staircase to a spacious, man-sized cellar that can serve as a wine cellar or ceramic workspace.

LIVING ROOM

WORK-/BEDROOM 1
This room also has a fireplace and windows on two sides. The aluminum sliding doors overlook the pool. The former outside door is now a large window between the living room and study, for extra light. The room can serve in many ways, as a study, office or studio, but also as a hobby, music, play, gaming or TV room.

SLEEPING WING

HALLWAY
Directly after the glass door is the separate toilet on the left. Although completely indoors there is daylight in this corridor, through skylights in the adjoining bedroom and through the solar tube in the ceiling.

MASTER BEDROOM 2 WITH PRIVATE SHOWER
At the end of the corridor of the sleeping wing is the master bedroom, with sink and private shower with window. The new, large maintenance-free window overlooks the backyard. This room has recently been completely renovated including the shower and laminate flooring has been laid.

BEDROOMS 3,4 AND 5
These are comparable in size and are located on the front and side of the bungalow. These also have large windows. The radiators can be individually controlled with thermostat regulators. The three bedrooms have recently been re-plastered.

BATHROOM
Directly next to the bedrooms is the cleverly laid-out bathroom with second toilet, bath, washbasin, separate shower and design radiator.

 

DOUBLE GARAGE WITH CENTRAL HEATING INSTALLATION

The double garage has two wooden double doors at the front and a door to the backyard. There is ample space for two cars. The space can also be added to the house or - partly – used as a workspace, workshop or atelier.

In the corner is the central heating boiler (2004) installed which provides the heating and hot water in the house. Next to it there are connections for a washing machine and dryer.

 

GARDEN AROUND WITH OUTDOOR POOL

The pool with built-in lighting is sheltered between mature laurel and beech hedges and the hedge to the garden of the neighbors. An extra piece of fence to make the pool childproof is easy to realize. For older children and teenagers, the pool is of course a great place for a pool party or just to chill.

In the wooden shed against the outside wall of the office is the technical installation of the pool placed out of sight. The pool is heated by a non-visible solar collector on the roof of the bungalow.

The large garden around - the plot measures no less than 1,350 square metres - is a charming mix of mature greenery, grass and fine play and sitting areas between and under the trees, including evergreen pines, old oaks and multistemmed birches. On either side you can walk around the house, with or without a bike.

Behind the house the orientation is northwest; there is sunlight playing through the trees all afternoon. A fence gives access to the lower field behind the bungalow; great for walking with the dog and to be immediately in the countryside. There is a lot of mature green. The privacy is well taken care of.

The garden is particularly suitable and very attractive for children to healthily play outside. Behind the double garage there is room for a playground equipment. The current owner also had a wooden tipi for the children in the other large point behind the pool. A tree house is also possible and there is easily room for a trampoline.

 

LOCATION AND VIEWS

At the front, the bungalow overlooks the green Lijsterlaan with its many mature trees and purely local traffic. Behind, mature greenery screens off the neighbors’ gardens, while between trees and shrubs you can see the Kempen countryside, country roads and forests in the distance. No wonder that the current occupant has a cozy seat there! The wide view shows the changes of the seasons and the changing weather.

Thanks to the single storey, the barrier-free floor, the paved driveway and the paved paths around the bungalow, this house is wheelchair accessible.

Several young families with children have recently come to live in this green district, which contains a mixture of bungalow styles.

The possibilities for jogging, walking and cycling in the green surroundings are numerous. A start will be made at the end of this year on the construction of a separate cycle path between Westerhoven and Riethoven, for an even faster bicycle connection with Veldhoven. Eersel, Steensel, de Run and Koningshof (in Veldhoven) can be reached quickly on foot and by bicycle.

 

RIETHOVEN, BERGEIJK AND SURROUNDINGS

The wooded and very old hamlet of Walik lies midway between Eersel and Riethoven. Riethoven falls under the municipality of Bergeijk and, in addition to Walik, also covers the hamlets of Boshoven, Broekhoven, Eind, Heiereind, Keersop (partly) and Voort.

Riethoven has the necessary shops, facilities and restaurants, and Eersel and Bergeijk offer even more. There are numerous excellent restaurants in the vicinity, such as Promessa en Prikkelz in Eersel and Crijns In Bladel (all in Gault&Millau), and Vandeijck sited in the national monument on the Dorpsplein in Riethoven.

The elongated and cosy Market in Eersel is widely known as an attraction. Bergeijk also offers Theatre De Kattendans and national monument and industrial heritage icon De Ploeg by Gerrit Rietveld (building) and Mien Ruys (park), while the Eersel Domein Oogenlust is a prime location with greenhouses, shops, galleries and events.
