This thatched long-facade farmhouse was previously the parental home of the current owner. When the next generation took over this municipal monument in 2010, it became their dream home. The estate has been completely and extensively renovated and improved under the supervision of interior architect Marco Daverveld and Siebers Tuinen. Numerous authentic farmhouse elements have been preserved, including various characteristic windows and treated and sandblasted oak beam structures and pillars.

SUSTAINABILITY

This municipal monument has energy label A. The half-open barn with canopy was sustainably equipped in 2015 with 44 solar panels( 320 Wp) on both east and west sides for well-distributed output (about 10.1 MWh in 2023). Virtually all windows - upstairs everywhere anyway - have HR++ insulating glass. The mechanical ventilation has two heat recovery systems (Brink). The swimming pool is heated by a heat pump.

During the renovation, the old floors were removed and the ground was dug up to half a metre. Floor insulation, underfloor heating (entire ground floor and upstairs bathroom) and new finishing floors were then installed. In addition, the ceilings were extra well insulated. Home automation was also installed, so that remote control and the various wall panels/Ipads can be used to control all lighting in the house.

LAY-OUT

Both upstairs and downstairs in the farmhouse, you can see the original oak structural beams and pillars that blend beautifully with the modern materials used. Thanks to the numerous Velux skylights, there is ample and pleasant daylight throughout the entire ground floor as well as the entire first floor.


GROUND FLOOR - LIVING SPACES

The atmospheric living kitchen with plenty of morning sun, is the central heart of the house. In the gable end next to the kitchen is the official front door. Adjacent to the open kitchen is the raised lounge area, formerly an elevated living area. Directly by the kitchen, there is ample space for a very large dining table, leading towards the spacious living room.

The living room has double French doors opening to the garden and a beautiful soapstone stove in the tiled alcove, which can also be used to warm snacks on weekends. The oak parquet floor features several integrated floor outlets that can be controlled via home automation.

The office space, which can also serve excellently as a playroom or game room, is currently set up with two nice workstations, a wide custom-made (book)shelf wall, water connection (for a kitchenette), and its own door leading to the garden with a covered area and the outdoor swimming pool.

Alongside the high-quality custom-made wardrobe wall, there is also a semi-open walk-in wardrobe room with ample custom hanging and shelving options.

The luxurious bathroom 1 includes a spacious walk-in shower with a rain shower head, a freestanding bathtub, a wide wall unit with a hardstone countertop, two sinks with Aqua Prestige built-in faucets, and a wall-hung toilet. There is comfortable underfloor heating and a designer towel radiator.


FIRST FLOOR

The entire floor is dedicated to the children. They have four bedrooms, bathroom 2, a separate toilet, and their own closet-laundry room with Velux skylights throughout. Bedrooms 3 (with washbasin unit) and 6 (with gable window) at the gables are notably spacious and potentially divisible. Along the long corridor, there is also bathroom 2 with a washbasin unit featuring a granite countertop and a walk-in shower. Bedrooms 4 and 5 in the middle, adjacent to the separate toilet, also have their own washbasin units. MAGNIFICENT GREEN ESTATE: GARDENS, MEADOW, SWIMMING POOL AND NATURAL POND
