These have all been collected in a book. A small insight: Markt 11, for instance, was home to the town clerk, a gold and silversmith and the De Kroon family, well-known beer brewers. Before the current owners - a family with three children - made this their own, this house also housed a garage and taxi company from just after WWII.

Not only the house itself, but also the village of Oirschot has a long and rich history. Oirschot has more than three hundred monuments. Diagonally opposite Markt 11 is the ‘cathedral of Oirschot’, the beautiful St Peter's Basilica from around 1510. Also visible from the front door: the listed former town hall from 1513, now the site of the Visit Oirschot information and inspiration point.

The village has many restaurants, shops and amenities, and schools are also within walking and cycling distance.

There are eleven nature reserves and estates, including the Oirschotse Heide, De Beerze, Baest estate and the Landschotse Heide.
