1 jan 2024: New rate mortgage interest deduction

Legislative tax change per 01-01-2024

The mortgage interest deduction has decreased in recent years to 37.05% in 2023. The restriction effects only house owners who are in the highest tax bracket. Since 1 January 2014, the maximum mortgage interest deduction for higher incomes has decreased with 0.5% each year. From 2020, the reduction is accelerated to 3% per year.
