The frequently applied rental agreement of 'two years or shorter' for independent living space (option 3 in the ROZ model) will disappear in its current form. The lease of non-self-contained living space of 'five years or shorter' will also disappear. In addition, the possibility for the landlord to invoke the ground for termination 'urgent own use' will be extended for an owner who wants to put a house at the disposal of a relative by blood or marriage in the first degree (own children or parents). An additional ground for termination for cohabitant is also introduced for situations where, for example, a property becomes available after people have started living together and where the owner of the vacant/abandoned property is not yet sure whether he wants to keep or sell the property in the future.
